Which games suit your level?

We use six levels to help you find a game. They are a guide, not an official rating. The club or organizer decides who can join.

The six levels

Beginner
You are learning the rules, basic strokes and how to keep a short rally going.
Improver
You are building consistent rallies and learning where to position yourself.
Intermediate
You can play consistent basic shots, use the glass and apply simple tactics.
Upper intermediate
You are confident at the net and off the glass and coordinate tactics with your partner.
Advanced
You use varied shots and move reliably between attack and defence under pressure.
Expert
You play at a high competitive level and adapt your game to strong opponents.

Expert does not necessarily mean professional. If you sit between two levels, start with the lower one or ask the organizer.

Find my level

Think about what you can do consistently in a game, not your best shot. This quick check gives a starting point, not a coach’s assessment.

Why Silver or Category B can mean different things

Clubs use different systems. The same letter, colour or number can describe different players in different places.

How the filter works

We keep the organizer’s original level in game details. When we have a supported match, we also show our level. A game may fit more than one level. “Approx.” means the match is an estimate, not a promise that you meet the entry rules.

“All levels” shows every game. A selected level includes matching games and sessions explicitly open to all abilities. Unclear levels stay out unless you tick “Include games with unconfirmed levels”. We do not guess from a category name alone.

Sources and coverage

Our registry records each system, its scope and the evidence behind a mapping. Research coverage is broader than the mappings we can currently support. Unverified categories stay unconfirmed.
